E-Poster Presentation Guidelines

E-Poster Preparation

You must first prepare a poster prior to uploading your e-poster.
E-posters instead of a physical poster pinned to a board, are a PPT slide presentation which is viewed on a computer.
E-poster presenters have the option of submitting a PDF version of their poster OR a video file (mp4) using the recording feature through PowerPoint.

Option 1 : Upload PDF format

Step 1 Prepare your poster in MS-PowerPoint.

Please prepare maximum 20 pages poster document in MS-PowerPoint. You may download ISAAR 2021 template to prepare an e-poster.

Step 2 Turn your document into PDF format.

  • All e-posters should be prepared in English.
  • Slide Deck is 16:9 aspect ratio.
  • File Size: Maximum file size is 100MB
  • File Format: Save your file as a PDF for quick and easy upload
  • Media: Images/photos, graphs and tables can be included in the e-poster
  • Include title, authors, and institutional affiliation and country on the first slide
  • Compose your poster with Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion
  • make sure the file saved with the name in Poster Number_Presenter’s name order. ( e.g. PBI001_Lorena Jeon )

Option 2 : Upload for MP4 format

Using the recording feature through PowerPoint.

  • Before recording, make sure your microphone is plugged in and ready to record.
  • To record narrations in PowerPoint, find the Slide Show tab on the ribbon. Click on the Slide Show tab to change the available option.
  • Click Record Slide Show and a new window will pop up with two options to set before you start recording. Leave both options checked and click Start Recording.
  • Recording will start immediately. The recording may be a maximum of 5 minutes long. You can see the length of time recording on the screen.
  • When you have finished, click the X button on the upper right corner of the Recording window to complete the audio recording.
  • Be sure that when you save the "Use Recorded Timings and Narrations" option is selected.
  • Verify that the file will save as an mp4 file before saving.

How to upload your poster PDF or mp4 file? (until August 27)

  • Log in to the ISAAR 2021 website enter your ID(email) and password.
  • Once you log in the system, you will be able to see the poster(s) you have to upload. To do this, please click the “Edit” button that will allow you to upload the file(s) and make any other changes.
  • Upload your e-poster by clicking select under PDF
  • After successful submission, you will see red buttons indicating which files are uploaded.
  • Please make sure the file you are uploading is correct. If you upload the wrong file, please click “Edit” and return to (3).

E-Poster Viewing

E-Poster presentation viewing will have no specific presentation date and time. These presentations will be accessible from the virtual platform during and one month after the congress, to all registered attendees.
